Family-run since 1999
Real ales from within thirty miles, homemade food in a vaulted dining room, and three courtyard rooms tucked behind the pub.
The Queens, at a glance
Tim and Jane have run The Queens since December 1999, adapting and renovating the premises to keep it a proper local — and a comfortable stop for anyone visiting the town.
The dining room
Restaurant
The dining room sits just beyond the bar — vaulted ceiling, a large arched window, and doors onto the rear patio. Menus change daily, with a handful of house favourites kept on through the year.
The pub
Open-plan, with oak flooring, low beamed ceilings and distinct areas that flow into one another. The bar and garden are dog friendly; the restaurant is kept for quieter dining.
Tim & Jane have been at The Queens since December 1999, adapting and renovating the premises extensively.
